Configurning Outlook as Primary E-mail Manager vs Outlook Express

I am not having any success in trying to configure Outlook to act as primary
e-mail manager...on my new computer, in which Outlook Express and Outlook are
both present.

I did have a representative from Dell transfer old data files from previous
computer...to the new one. I did have Outlook Express as the primary e-mail
manager on the old (or previous) computer.

I need suggestions as to how to configure Outlook as the primary e-mail
account.

I am not sure how that helps....I already have internet service...my
challenge is having Outlook recognized as the primary e-mail manager...as
opposed to Outlook Express...

I can send e-mails via either one...I only receive e-mails in Outlook
Express...

That's where you set the default email client
