How do I configure an XP Pro laptop to be able to connect to different
networks in different locations? Is this simply a matter of creating
different user profiles to the needs of each network?

Or is it more complicateed than that? Any websites that can tutor me
through this?

Thanks very much--

Chuck,

This can be done very easily. If either of the networks
uses DHCP, you simply configure your TCP/IP properties to
obtain an IP address automatically. You will notice a
second tab at the top of this box named Alternate
Configuration. This will allow you to enter a user
configured static IP, DNS, gateway, etc.

If both networks use DHCP, there is no problem. Simply
configure TCP/IP for obtain an IP address automatically.

The only problem would be if both networks use static
IPs. In that case, you would need to manually configure
your TCP/IP properties each time you changed networks.

I hope this helps.
