You are not mentioned which type of network you are using
and how you are trying to connect the printer. You can
take a test print by the software PS-Admin, which is in
the CD coming with the print server. If you can
successfully take the printout through the PS-Admin, there
is no problem with your print server.

If you are having windows network, you should install the
NetBUI protocol and IPX/SPX protocol. Then go to the
network neighbourhood --> and double click on the
workgroup --> there you will find your printer. Select
the printer and right click, you will get an option for
install. Install it. You can use it as normal printer.

hello your printer ip address is different than your ip
address.
enter 192.168.230 on both server and ip addresses, or
192.168.23 on both ips.
try it.

If not let me know.

I don't usually criticize other newsgroup posts, but this is bad advice. On
a Windows network, you do not need NetBui and you do not need IPX/SPX.

The computer and the network will be much better off with only TCP/IP.
Print Servers, such as those from DLink, work just fine with only TCP/IP.

Eng.Taha... does not say what model of Dlink device he has, but the usual
way to configure a printer for these kinds of devices is to create a new,
Local Port of the Standard TCP/IP type and specify the IP address of the
device. For example, see the page 28 of the manual for the DLink DP-301U
available at http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=165, or see
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/Printing to Print Server device.htm.
