After reading some of the repliesto other posts I am a little in asking this...but '''''please''''' excuse my ignorance and what does configure mean. When i down load updates to my ad aware it asks if i want to configure...sorry another newbi

Configure just means to setup a program or whatever the way you want it
based on the choices given. In Adaware's updating configuration, it allows
you to specify a proxy server if you are using that method of connection to
the internet for updates and also to save or not bother to save the old data
file.

Configure is the same as setup.
If you are talking about Lavasoft Ad-Aware 6 then is for a proxy server
which I doubt you have.
