I have just been put incharge of some updates to a network of approx. 1600
workstations that need to have new printers added to them.

I have tried to use the rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry command and it
works perfectly for any user that has not previously logged onto that
machine before but doesn't add the printer for a previous user.

Is there a switch that I've missed to allow this or is there another program
that can be used?

The network is native Windows 2000 (win2k server and clients).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thankyou

Yes

/ga add per machine printer connections (the connection will be propagated
to the user upon logon)

rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /?

Thanks for your reply Alan.
Unfortunately that isn't working. The exact command I have been trying to
get to work (thinking that per-machine connection would work for all users)
is:

rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ga /c\\Grizzly\HPLJ4050
Grizzly is the print server and HPLJ4050 is one of the printers we need to
connect. I assume that the syntax of that command is right?

The result of that is as before that the existing users will not get the
printer in their list but any new user of the PC will.
