Configure Internet

I need to know wich is the best configuration, and how
to,connect the Lan And High speed internet using a cable
modem, and a router. I have Windows XP Home, with a small
lan. Specially my dudes are in the XP configuration.

Enable DHCP in the router. Power cycle the modem to refresh the
connected MAC address of the router. Use the Set Up a Home or Small
Business Network wizard on each computer.

This presumes that you have already installed and have enabled your
network cards.
