Okay..now that I understand that Outlook is not a server...what do I need
to do to be able to download email from my ISP (using either the laptop or
desktop machines) and be able to see the new downloaded email or other
previously saved downloaded email (including folders) on the other
machine?
All I want to be able to do is see the same Outlook email on both machines
since all I am doing is using one ISP, one desktop and one wireless
laptop.
I hope this makes sense...I am not all that technically savy...
Thanks,
GREG

Outlook can't really share mail folders - it's not a server.

I have a desktop using Win 98 and Office Outlook 2000 as my email program.
I recently bought a laptop using Win Home XP and Office Outlook 2000 as my
email program. The laptop is connected via wireless routing. I want to be
able to use the desktop as the "server" and be able to download email from
either the desktop or the laptop but allow both to share and see everything
(email-wise) on both machines using the Outlook 2000 file folders I already
have set up on the desktop. Do I need to first create duplicate file
folders and set on both machines? I cannot understand if I need to create
a profile...or if I am doing remote mail...or if I am sharing...or if I am
synchronizing. The software "help" function as well as online web support
is way too technical for me to understand.
