Hello users,
I'm looking for a german newsgroup for Windows 7. I have a question to
organize the start menue. In XP it is possible with a right mouse click
on the start button to organize the program folders. So I have folders
for Graphic Programs, Text Programs, with content of the special
programs like Photoshop, Word and others. On the Desktop are only that
programs, I often use. Is this form of organizing possible in Windows 7
too? Thanks for an answer. Paul

Yes.

Go to the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs,
where you will find the shortcuts you want to organize. Create or
delete folders there as desired, and move programs in or out of the
folders as desired to organize it however you want to.

Thanks for this advice, it worked well, but now I have another problem:
after clicking the 'Start' button the place is at first empty. The
directories become visible after clicking the 'all Programs' button. I
want to see the directories at once after clicking the 'Start' button.
Thanks for an answer. Paul
