the configuration of a network connection on a win2000server with a fix IP
address is not more visible after closing and reopening of the connection
properties window. !!!the configuration was done and works (checked with
"ipconfig").
reinstalling of the adapter driver did not resolve the problem.

thanks brain,

I did all points of the lists 254631 and 329050 but without success.
the problem occurs when I restarted the server after the uninstallation of
my DSL Speedstreamer modem/driver. before I deactivated RRAS. I reinstalled
and uninstalled the modem once more but also, no result. I remember, with
this DSL modem installed, I never could open "Domain Security Policy" (shows
a conflict with DNS how I read in the MS knowledge base). now, with DSL
modem uninstalled I can open "Domain Security Policy" again. I will go on.

ps.: copy to bruno, he has the same problem.
