Please, does anyone know how to access config.sys to
change the [common] files= line. I need to increase this
line to run a dos app. Thanks!

Hi,

To access config.sys file, follow these steps:

1. Open MyComputer and click Tools.

2. Click Folder Options and click View tab.

3. Select the radio button beside the "show hidden files
and folder".

4. Uncheck the option beside the "Hide file extensions for
known file types".

5. Click OK and exit the open Windows.

6. Click Start

7. Click Search -> For files and folders.

8. Type "config.sys" without quotes in the Serach for
files and folder field.

9. In the right pane, Highlight and right click the file
Config.sys and select Open With. Select Notepad to open
the file.

Thanks,

Add the line to the config.nt file in the c:\windows\system32 folder.

Good luck
