I have a list of 500 email addresses in excel. I am
trying to figure out how to separate based on condition
for example. If I have (e-mail address removed), and I want
to separate into a separate column all of the website
addresses associated with the email address, how would I
accomplish that? Likewise separating the name part for
those prefixes containing a . or _ between the first and
last name. Thx.

Sounds like "Data - Text To Columns" is what you want.
Look it up in the Help file.

Select your addresses, then use Data | Text to columns... and use @ as the
delimiter. Then insert a couple of columns to move the webiste.com values
over, reselect your original data, and do the same thing twice more, once
with . and once with _. Then insert another column with references to the
first column, which you'll need to convert to values by copying and using
pastespecial values. (This is only necessary if the initial column was
hyperlinks. If it was, then delete the intial column to get rid of the
hyperlinks.)
