conditional sum

Okay, this is a weird one. I am constructing a report that summarized financial data per week. I have created a data connection between the sql database and excel. On that worksheet it has totals and dates in separate column. I would like to have a sum of the column AB if the dates in column AG are between a certain date range weather it be month day/year.
