I use Excell 2003 at work and have no problems using Conditional Formatting

Howwever, I have VISTA at home (unfortunately) and can't figure out how to
do what I want to do.

At work I can
* select a value to be met
* ask it to put the font in a specific color if th value is met
* ask it to color in a cell if a specific value is met

How do I do that in VISTA? I can't figure it out.

Vista is an Operating System which does not Include Excel.

Do you mean Excel 2007?

On Home Tab click on Conditional Formatting>New Rule

Same method as Excel 2003

If you need further help post back with a cell reference and a value.

Hi,

Vista is an operating system and has nothing to do with the way CF is
entered in Excel. Do you mean you have Excel 2007 at home and Excel 2003 at
work?

In Excel 2007 select your cell and then on the 'Home' tab on the ribbon
click 'Conditional formatting' - select 'New rule" - select 'Format only
cells that comtain' and from then on it's the same as e2003.
