Conditional Formatting Help

D

Duncan

Hi All,

I need a conditional format to make a cell change red if the date
within it has passed.

The only drawback is that the date in the cell is at the end of some
text, so the cell content would be "Target date: 12/10/06" or "Target
date: 10/10/06"

So really I need a formula that either does a mid or right to get the
date which will be the last 6 digits in the cell, compare it to todays
date, and if greater than or equal to then needs to turn that cell red.

I am useless at conditional formatting so any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Many thanks

Duncan
