I am using W7 and Word 2003.
I am typing up names, say Pat, at a size of 150.
I then use character spacing to reduce the space between the
characters so they overlap each other.
I do this because I will glue the printout to a piece of wood and then
cut out the name with a scroll saw.
It is necessary to do the condensing so that there are no individual
letters. It is just one piece of wood.
I do not have any problem doing any of the above as I have done this
many, many times before.

Seeing as Pat is my cardiac nurse I thought i would like to add a
heart to both ends of her name.
I went to Clip Art and found a heart I would like to use. I reduced it
to the size of the text and inserted it.
Where I am having a problem is condensing the space between the heart
and the text.
Again I want to have the heart partially overlap the text so after the
cutting is done I have just one piece of wood.

Thanks for any and all help.
