Is it possible to produce condensed font in PowerPoint 2002? If so, how?

Produce, no.
Use a condensed font, yes. You'll need to choose a font that's condensed to
begin with.

Or produce the text in another program that's capable of modifying type (Corel
Draw, Illustrator, etc) and make a graphic that you can import into PPT

Thanks. When I condense Tahoma in Word and insert it in PowerPoint as a
bitmap file (or any other way I've tried), the quality isn't good. I'm using
Tahoma for a logo. I have Publisher, but not Corel or Illlustrator. Am I
missing the correct way to bring it in as a graphic?
