I understand Windows XP Pro (like 2000 pro) is limited to 10 concurrent
connections. Can someone please define exactly what a concurrent connection
is?

If I have XP Pro sharing three folders and two printers; then I map drives
from another XP (or 2K) machine to all three shares and both printers (and
actively browse and print) is that counted as 5 concurrent connections?

Thank you Rick, much obliged.

That's the exact article I was looking for.

| Hi Julian,
|
| This article may help explain things for you:
|
| Inbound Connections Limit in Windows XP [Q314882]
|
| But basically, it is a limit on the number of computers that can connect
to
| yours, not a limit on the number of shares or mapped drives a connected pc
| can have.
