Concur w/ M Cooper - - Spyware isn't detecting cookies

D

DB

I ran my ad-aware and was amazed that it picked up so
many tracking cookies. This was a little disheartening
given the "running in the background" aspect of the
microsoft beta version.

I would bet that the MS Antispyware doesn't detect
cookies in spy scan mode because it deletes them under
the "advanced tools" Tracks Eraser (Tools, advanced
tools, tracks eraser). Although, I wonder how through
that tool is.

It neither scans or does any other operation relating to cookies. There are
elements in the UI relating to that functionality, however. This (cookie
scanning and removal) is under consideration for inclusion in a further beta
release.
