I recently became aware of the upcoming patch for IE that
will remove the ability to pass user authentication data
in the URL. This happens to affect me negatively, but I'm
looking into workarounds now.
What the article does not specify, however, is whether or
not it removes the ability to put user data *anywhere* in
the URL. For example, if I have the following URL:
http://testsite.com?action=LOGIN&[email protected]
.... will this new patch throw a syntax error on
(e-mail address removed), even though it is placed after the (?)?
Anyone know?
Thanks!
