Concatenating Column Headings

Currently, I have a crosstab query setup that shows me the Part # as the row heading, the overall Part family description it belongs to as the column heading, and the value as an "X". A part # can have multiple part family descriptions so there may be more than one "X." The column headings are not static and continually change as new part family descriptions are added

Is it possible to have Access count up the number of X's and then concatenate the column headings pertaining to each "X" based on the individual part #? I am unsure how to do this and how to program it effectively since the total number of column headings (part family descriptions) is always changing

Any feedback/help you could provide would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Matt

Can you give us some sample data and then how you want it displayed?

You wouldn't do this from the Crosstab query. There is a generic concatenate
function at

might help.

Hi Duane,

For example I have the following information displayed in a crosstab query:

1023 1024 1025

0000-0001 x x
0000-0003 x

For a particular part #, it can have more than one part family # (1023,
1024, 1025, etc.). I wanted to see if it is possible to list the part # and
the column headings it belongs to such as 0000-0001 belongs to part family
1023 and 1025. I would like to do this on one row in an Access datasheet
since the crosstab query can be pretty long.
