The bank has detected that you are using a dial-up connection and has
automatically reduced the download speed to your computer so that the Banks
major customer (T something) will maximise profits. This gradual degradation
of service will eventually force you to question your loyalty to which Bank,
but on seconds thoughts you will give up (as they are all the same) and
realise that standing in line at lunchtime is a more socially acceptable way
of doing the essential tasks of living.
Jokes aside.. You have done all of the right things. Deleting Temporary
Internet Files etc. It may be that they are doing more processing on the
Server side of things. I would imagine that they are continually
implementing security improvements. You should perhaps contact the bank on
their feedback page to find out if they are aware of the problem and if
anybody else is experiencing it.
