Computers disappearing from network

I have 3 machines using W2K PRO in a WORKGROUP. NO SERVER
NO AD.
Suddenly one machine can't see the others in the network.
The printer that I was sharing has become unavailable. I
can ping all machines from each other, but my network
neighbourhood shows one machine missing. The router sees
all machines.
What has happened?
