hello,

my Pc is one week old i bought it from new but i face these error signatures:

BCCode 1000008e BCP1 C0000005 BCP2 0099D362 BCP3 815168A4 BCP4 00000000 OSVer 5_1_2600 SP 2_0 Product 256_1

C:/Documents/taz/Locals/Temp/WER726f.dir00\Mini012007_03.dmp
C:/Documents/taz/Locals/Temp/WER726f.dir00\sysdata.xml

I have a AMD Athlon 2.4GHz ATI 256mb 512nm RAM (one stick)

The thing is that it restarts with no reason quite often and the PC runs very slow sometimes.
I have checked the drivers from device manager to check if they all are compatible with WinXP and i found 4 of them that are earlier version than the 5_1_2600:

1.Disk Drive
2.IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers
3.Network Adapter-1394 Net Adapter 2
4.Microsoft ACPI-compliant System

Can anyone help me and specify what is the real problem?

Thanks a lot
taz

PS I am sorry if i posted the problem to the wrong area so may the admin tranfer it to the relevant section

Who did you buy from & what warranty do you have?
i bought it in parts from microdirect and the warranty is for 3 years but i have already replaced the motherboard, dvd rom and the power supply because they were faulty!!!Do you think its time for the RAM to be replaced as well?i dont know what to do..but i am quite sure that this a hardware problem rather than software

hi......you could try updating all drivers and your bios if your motherboard is new
id say its a hardware conflict

Because i havent got a very good knowledge of these things, how should i update the bios?should i just enter BIOS and check for update 'command'? To update the drivers should i use the winXP cd?

thank you all for your answers and patience

youll have to find you bios version and check if there is an update, for your graphic card go to ati website and find your card and download the current drivers

oh pc wizard can tell what motherboard, graphic card, bios etc...just install and run

I just updated both BIOS and the graphics card and the system seems to run smoother..I hope the problem is elliminated otherwise do you reckon to replace the RAM?

I really appreciate you all for your help

You seem to have replaced everything else, so if the problem occurs again then yes using different RAM may be the answer.

Guys unfortunately the problem got worse..I will download the latest chipset drivers and audio drivers from my mobo's manufacturer's site and check again..If not should i try a format on my pc or will it be useless?

Also, the toolbar shows the icon which appears when you put a usb flash drive for example but i have nothing connected to the usb ports and what makes me wonder is that it appears the disk drive as an 'safely remove hardware'!!!Does this make sense?? would this be the hardware problem i probably have?
The disk drive has a SATA socket only and i bought an adapter to connect it with the power supply and a SATA cable to connect it with the motherboard.Could anyone tell me whats wrong with that?

thank you
