computers clock?

The computer i had before this one kept perfect time this one i have now
goes slightly fast about 5 mins every 3 months

Any one know if there is a way to regulate a computers clock though the
cmos or something?

If you do a google search you will find several time keeping software
programs that are free to keep the time accurate. Try "keeping time accurate
on computer" or something to that degree.
 
If you open the clock, you will see a tab internet time, which lets the pc synchronize
with an online time server.

XP has a facility to automatically sync time with the internet 2x clck on
the time in your sys trat and select the internet time tab

If your OS doesn't connect to an atomic clock location, get DSC15R. It is
an internet program that connects to a location (such as MITS) that has
an atomic clock and automatically synchronizes your computer clock
to within one second. Works great!
