Can anyone help me. I'm trying to record a Word Document
to a CD-R on my XP. I get it all set up and then click
"Write to CD" and it tells me to insert a CD-R or CD-RW
into the Drive. BUT THERE's ONE THERE! Why doesn't it
recognize it? I'm going bats!
Thanks so much!

Hi,

Double-click "My Computer".
Right-click the CDRW drive, got to properties.
Go to the recording tab and make sure the option to "enable recording on
this drive" is checked.

In your cd-writing program, have you set ir up to work with the correct
cdrom drive? In nero click recorder > choose recorder.

Are your cdrom drivers correctly installed? If not then it may not recognise
it as a writer.

Has the disk been written on before? If its a cdrw, you may need to format
it?

Have you disabled windows cd burning functions or any UDF packet writing
software such as INCD?
