my disability is quadriplegia, my Windows 2000 computer
will no longer boot up without my aid using some switch on
the back of the tower.he wired to switches that I can
reach to turn the computer off and to reboot but they no
longer work? What could be the problem? What should I do
to fix. My brother put the computer together and he does
not have time to look at it. I'm afraid I will have no
computer every day, after I get up in my wheelchair.

I would appreciate any suggestions.
thank you.
Dana

Might want to just keep the computer running. It won't hurt it to keep running. To make sure it keeps running, click
Start>Settings>Control Panel>Display>Screen Saver>Power...>Power Schemes. You can set times to turn off the monitor and harddrives.
Just moving your mouse or pointing device will turn the drives and monitor back on. You can disable hibernate under the Hibernate
tab. I don't think Windows is the problem and you might ask your aide to drive you and the computer somewhere to where a repair
person can look at the switch.
