I'm sorry but you simply haven't given us enough information to get
focused help. Your subject line says you had a virus (which one? how do
you know?) and your message body says you can't "gain access to recover
some programs" (what does this mean exactly?) but it's just not clear
what is going on with your machine.

You may want to simply wait until you get back home to Seattle and then
take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local
version of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Please be aware that not all
local shops are skilled at removing malware and even if they are, your
computer may be so infested that Windows will need to be
clean-installed. Have all your data backed up before you take the
machine into a shop. I'm not saying this to hurt your feelings - just
being practical.
Otherwise we can certainly try to help you troubleshoot but you need to
