An HP desktop system with Vista.

I enabled hibernation and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now,
when I hibernate the system, it starts up on its own -- sometimes as
soon as 30 seconds after everything spins down and the power light
goes off; sometimes as long as a few minutes later.

What could be causing this?

Just Have a little fittle around with the control pannel you will be
surprised what you find there.. a toggle where you can change the hours of
your hybernation..
or perhap's turn it off, or Start > Hybernation > Timer > [Time here] *Cross*

Discovered that my network interface was set to wake up the computer.
I assumed that this meant "wake up for sleeping" -- I had no idea that
MS would implement that for hibernating as well, which seems to defeat
the purpose of hibernating in the first place.

Another somewhat dubious MS design decision (or is it a bug?).
