Computer Wake-up Problem

My T2200 emachines finally needed some help. The power supply died so I
needed to open the case...so.....I added a new power supply, a graphics
card, an additional internal drive, more memory and a sound card. All work
perfectly EXCEPT waking up from the sleep mode.

When the machine is in the sleep mode for awhile and I hit a key or move the
mouse, the fans in the computer case start, the red indicator light on the
front of the computer case lights up, but the power button switch keeps
blinking and the machine doesn't start and the monitor stays dark. I have
to turn the power supply rear rocker switch off and on once or twice. The
machine then starts and all runs perfectly.

If only in the sleep mode for a very short time, the machine starts
perfectly by moving the mouse or hitting a key. The problem only happens
when the machine is in the sleep mode for awhile.

I can live with this, but is there a fix?

When you added new video card, did you remove the old driver before
installing the new one? Is it from the CD or is it the latest? (preferred)

Mike.
