computer user name.. how doI change the name?

I know how to change the administrators name, but I can't for the life of me
change the user name. It's the name that pops up when my laptop returns from
sleep mode, etc... I was able to change the admin... It appeards like this on
my log in page:
TINYDANCER\endyear(TinyDancer) ... I want to change the endyear part.
It's the name that appears on my cookie files and stuff. I bought the laptop
off someone, and I think he setup that name when he cleaned out the computer.
HELP!

Don't, really. Don't bother. The proper way is to do a clean installation
because you have no idea what the laptop was truly used for before you got
it and you now have possession (and thus legal liability) of the laptop as
well as any potential (un)intentional security compromises that may or may
not have happened to the system. Doing that will enable you to name it
anything you want. Be sure to ask the person you bought the laptop from for
the CD to install the OS again otherwise you may well have bought a piece
expensive of equipment that mostly functions as a brick.
