Computer turns on when phone call is made

When my home computer is turned off if i ring home the
computer turns on.The phone and modem ues the same line
How do i stop this

Cool. How do I start this?
 
Somewhere in Bios Setup you have a setting like "Wake Up On Ring" you
have to disable.
 
go into Device Manager [one method: right-click My Computer, choose
Manage. Then in left pane select Device Manager. There are other
methods, see Help and Support if needed.].

select the modem in the right pane, right-click | properties. somewhere
in there will be "allow this device to resume computer", or "wake the
system". Uncheck that. Click ok. Close the MMC console.
