Whenever I run a scan (the full scan or quick scan), my
computer turns off after scanning most of the files. My
computer doesnt freeze, or give me an error, it just
turns off. has anyone experienced this problem? thank you

What happens if you restart the machine in safe mode, and scan in that mode?

Can you tell whether it is, in fact, finding spyware on your machine as it
scans?

While running the scan, it is finding spyware on my
computer, but the scan never finishes to delete them.

i can try restarting my computer in safe mode, how do i
do this?

You press the F8 function key before the Windows screen comes up--I end up
taping it about once a second after seeing the initial bios stuff on the
screen. If you get the timing right, you should be presented with a text
menu, one choice on which will be safe mode. Use up and down arrows to
select that line and hit enter.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. My computer would turn off
after about 8 minutes. The problem was a heat sensor that
clips on to the cpu chip. A 3 dollar piece of hardware.
After replacing, the PC works fine

You could also have a power supply that is beginning to
fail or overheat. I have repaired a few PCs with this
problem. Make sure the fan on the power supply to the PC
is not blocked and make sure that it is spinning. If the
power supply overheats (due to running a large process,
like scanning), the power supply will begin to heat up
and shut down to protect itself much like the CPU chip.
When was the last time you had the case open and blew the
dust off of everything. The fins on the CPU cooler could
be clogged with dust, the air inlet vents to the power
supply could be clogged or excessive dust on the fan
blades could slow down how fast they spin and then in
turn casue the PC to overheat. I would check those
things first before looking at the software....
