Computer thinks it installed sp4, but didn't???

I have a w2000 machine still on sp1. I've checked the update history and
found the machine thinks sp4 has been installed. In fact, it thinks sp4 has
been installed successfully many times over the past few months. Adobe
Reader does not support sp1, so an upgrade is essential. Any ideas???

Does Adobe think you have SP1 or 4?
*Did* you install SP4 . . . possibly you just have short-term memory loss?

Anyway . . . you can always download and install SP4 "again"

Download the network installation, so that you have the whole thing . . .
then install it . . .

Yes I did install sp4 and the computer reported it was installed
successfully - But it wasn't! In fact no updates were installed
successfully since sp1. Adobe thinks I have sp1, which I apparently do!
Thanks for your suggestion on the network installation. It's a 128mb
download, so it will take a while, but I'll report back once its complete.
