COMPUTER SWITCHES OFF

Hi there.
I have recently bought a new computer.
P4 3.2ghz
512mbram
256mb GFX card
Lan etc

The problem is:
When i try to use any internet based programs except for
MSN messenger the computer would switch off, like someone
pulled the plug out of the wall, and then it would
restart. I am sharing an internet connection from this
computer, and the other computer does not have any
trobule surfing the internet, online games etc, and does
not affect my computer. It is not the blaster virus, i
had put the patch on. I have updated everything on my
Windows XP. I also have done a virus scan, and it has
come up with nothing, and is also up to date. I also have
a firewall activated, and it is up to date. I have also
done a trojan scan, and nothing was found. My internet
connection is connected through USB, but it is not that,
otherwise the other computer would have problems using
the internet. I have also shared my internet explorer and
got the other computer to use it for a while, there were
no problems. I am completely lost, someone HELP!

Yes i have a firewall and it has been updated. This is an
update: I have put my internet connection on another
computer and have shared it to this one, and i am able to
surf the internet with out it switching off. So maybe a
trojan,but if so, why don't it get picked up?
 
Another update:
I done a port scan and i have come up with post 500:
Sockets de Troie, Blazer 5? Anyone know anyhting?
