Hello again. I posted back on 9/20 re: Machine in hibernation? Rec'd POST
from Mark Ferguson who suggested booting to SAFE MODE......HOWEVER....again,
I don't have the keyboard access to allow me to press EVEN ONE KEY to get
anywhere!!!

Anyone know if REMOVING the CMOS battery would fix this???? Can't get to the
BIOS/can't get to Windows/Can't get to Recovery/ can't get it to boot from CD
either!!

Lots of other things to check, but the first things to check for are
hardware problems.

Does the fan come on when you power on? If there is a power-on LED on
the chassis, does it come on? If not, it may be the power supply.

Are your boards all seated properly, and connections tight? Over time
the boards can creep out, and the connections open up. Open up your PC
and check. Tighten anything that is loose.

Does your keyboard work on another PC? If not, the keyboard is bad. If
it does work, the keyboard port may be bad.

I'd like to add to this snippet that some motherboards DO NOT initialise
USB Keyboards during startup, this is instead handled by the operating
system.
This depends on two things; motherboard BIOS Setting for USB keyboard
support (when it is OFF, keyboard is handled by operating system)
OR.. the motherboard is of an older make that does not support USB
keyboards, and therefore lacks the BIOS setting.
