When I shut down a computer and later tried to restart it
it asked for my password (which I do not have). I want to
access the computer without this password.

Hi,
Lost Forgotten Password
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/lostpass.htm

Once you have a password..
1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.
2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.
3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Chris, Thanks, but I can not getto Start/Run. I have no
way of restarting my computer without a password. There
is a way to startup without a password. That is what I
need. Thanks>-----Original Message-----

I still not sure if I understand. Are you in Windows now? Do you have a
valid password to get into Windows? Do you just not want to have to log in
to your PC with a password?
