computer stalls after 15 minutes

Hi,
I have a computer that is about 4 years old and after about 15 minute
everything freezes up and I have to restart. I am thinking that this is an
overheating problem? How can I check if this is the case and what can I do
about it? Are there any programs that I can use to check this or what else
could be causing this problem?

Testing hardware failures often involves swapping out suspected parts
with known-good parts. If you can't do the testing yourself and/or are
uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigStoreUSA).
