Computer slows down and locks

Cpu 100% sustem was cleared before (2 months ago) now I
loaded AOL 9 and it is slow and locksup. Indications
show most memory used . this is not the case I think it
has to do with too many programs running at same time.
Can you help??
 
Go to Start>Run type msconfig select Startup Tab and uncheck any
programs you don't want opened on startup.

HELLO, I HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEM IN THE PAST. CLICK

START BUTTON, GO TO RUN AND TYPE IN (MSCONFIG). ONCE YOU
DO THIS YOUR STARTUP MENU WILL DISPLAY. CHOOSE SELECTIVE
STARTUP UNDER GENERAL TAB THAN HIT STARTUP TAB AND CHOOSE
THE PROGRAMS YOU WANT TO RUN.
