computer slow

I forgot to put in my email addess.
My original question was:
How to fix my HP Pavilion-it has slowed down drastically
in startup & going on line.
 
First on the start button click on the run button in XP
and type in msconfig. Then go to the start up group tab
and unclick everything except as follows:
NvCpl
ccRegVfy
ccApp
RECGUARD
KBD
Ehtray
Dtfmon
On leave the above items checks. Then click ok and
restart the computer. A window will come up warning that
you are using a different system configuration. Just
click the button that saids to not remind you again and
then click ok.
Then go to your Internet Explorer and right click on the
icon and then click on properties. Make sure to empty the
temporary internet files and it may take a little time if
there are alot of files. Then click on the advance tab
and under security make sure the box has a check that
says to empty temporary internet files after closing the
browser. I believe that this will probably clear up alot
of your problems. Good luck.
