computer slow

All of a sudden my HP Pavilion is so slow in starting up
& also going on line.
Have added a new HP officejet 6110xi printer/fax/copier &
upgraded to aol 9.0
That's all that is new.
Help!

Run msconfig and click the startup tab see if anything there is causing it.
