An Aopen with Intel D845 EPI/D845GVSR mobo has started
shutting down after about 5 minutes. It will do it even if all the
drives (optical and hard drive) are disconnected from power.

It won't start for maybe 10 minutes (makes me think it is an
overheating problem).

I replaced the power supply but that didn't fix it. I opened the
case and it has plenty of air but still shuts down. I can put it in
safe mode and it still shuts down.

Since it will restart after 15 min of rest, I figure it has to the be
the mobo. ANY other opinions??

thanks

Uhmmm.. overheating is very probable, I've got a similar problem,
check the thread on Acer laptop on alt.comp.hardware

But... BUT... your situation is different, uhmmm maybe a virus? it
seems like a virus repeating a sequence.

I had the same thing happen when I built my computer. Turns out the
CPU fan wasn't tightened down sufficiently.
