My computer has been rebooting frequently tonight and last night. I have scanned for virus, none found. Now I can't launch PC Doctor. Any suggestions?

Hello,

When you say rebooting, are you getting a Blue Screen error message, a
message saying you are going to be rebooted in X seconds and it is counting
down or does the machine just reboot suddenly?

Best regards,

The machine just reboots suddenly. I haven't had the problem when its plugged into one of the surge protectors but it does on another outlet and different surge protector. Any Ideas?

Possibly a poor ground. Try the original surge protector on the new outlet.

Isolate the problem by first collecting facts. For example,
what do the system (event) logs say? And what are your power
supply voltages? System monitor cannot accurately measure
those voltages which is why repairmen use a so inexpensive 3.5
digit multimeter; as tool as essential as a screwdriver. For
additional information and especially the chart, See "Computer
doesn't start at all" in alt.comp.hardware on 10 Jan 2004 or
