Computer shuts off on own!

Problem. Neighbor with a dinasaur Windows 98 (2001 version) has computer that
boots up and after it completes booting, it may be 30 seconds, two minutes,
not more than 3 minutes, whether on a program working or just setting there
it shuts off and reboots again. Never stays on long enough to check anything
out without shutting off.

What might be the problem short of a new computer which I hear the old
refrain, "I don't use it that much and don't want to spend a lot of money on
a new one"

Hardware overheat problem with either the mb, ps, or graphics card.

You might try a W98 hardware group for better help.
