I have had my computer for almost three months now. At
first before any internet services was installed, it
worked fine. Once "Road Runner" cable internet was
installed, the computer keeps shutting off and shows a
blue screen. The salesperson I bought it from tried to
fix the problem but was unable to. The screen shows up
just about everytime I am on the net. It shows a message
saying something about "windows minidump" and that
something was installed improperly. Also, for the first
time yesterday, its booted me out of mIRC. Please help
me out. I am tired of it shutting down on
me...especially when I am in the middle of an important
task such as burning CDs and such. Any help would be
appreciated.

Important tasks like burning CDs? What about writing
documents concerning your work?
I've got a similar problem. My PC restarts from time to
time in the middle of whatever I do. In the directory
windows\Minidump a new file appears for every time this
happens (so after my latest reinstallation I've got 3 such
files corresponding to 3 crashes) (recently it seems to
have happened less frequently than in the beginning when
the computer was brand new - hope this is a good sign
though I cannot hope too much) Now the computer has just
crashed while I was writing an important mail.

Can somebody please tell us what to do with these minidump
files? Is there any information that can be extracted from
these?
