computer screen goes black

i am running windows 2000 pro and my computer screen goes
black and i have to shut down manually this happens when i
am online it will happen maybe once an hr sometimes. Thank
you for any help you can give to me regarding what is
causing this. I am also networked to anothercomputer and
it never happens on that computer.

If you're already networked to another computer then you should
use that other computer to find out if the problem unit still works
OK. Can you access shares on the problem computer? Can
you run psexec.exe (freely available from www.sysinternals.com)?

If these things work then I would do this:
- Re-install your video driver
- Replace the video adapter
