Computer rings

My computer rings when ever I send something on messenger
or a website- it is gonna drive me nuts. I must have
some virus or some trash on here but can't find it.
 
By "ring" do you mean a sound plays through your speakers? Have your
check the Sound applet in Control Panel to see which event is associated
with the .wav file that you hear playing?
