My computer unexpectedly restarts when I put in either my
wireless PCMCI network card or my USB network adaper. Can
someone help please!

Allen,

You probably have the blaster worm. Go to microsoft.com on another computer,
and click the blaster link and follow the instructions on removal.

In case its not the worm, try using process of elimination. Shut off the
computer, then plug either pcmcia or USB network adapter, and start the
computer, and see if the computer restarts.

Thanks Greg. It is not the worm. I've ran virus check
several times and it didn't find it. I did narrow the
problem down a bit. The problem does not occur when I use
my regular USB network adapter. It occurs only if I try
to use my DLink Wireless PCMCI card or my NETGEAR USB
Wireless network adapter. As soon as I put either of
those adapters in, I get the blue screen of death with
the following erro:
***Stop: 0x000000D1
(0x0012F0E0,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xF58F5A36)
Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
***Address F58F5A36 base at F58F0000, DateStamp 3981e588 -
CW10.sys

and then it restarts the computer. I tried to look up
this error in the knowledge base, and though I saw
similar things listed, nothing that was specific enough
o help me. Any ideas?
