My computer restarts suddenly usally when trying to play video or
somthing that needs more power or cpu. I have checked the cpu temps are
fine and have tried another cpu have checked memory and that is fine
also. Does this sound like a power supply issue? Any suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.

Well I certainly would swap the PSU for something more powerful (make sure
it's a recognised brand, though, not a pound-store unit). Tagan is my brand
of choice at the moment.

Supposedly Tom's Hardware has had Tagans failing a lot
recently. Sometimes I'm not sure if they know a power
supply from a stick of gum but it's worth considering.

Don't tell us anything about the PSU...just let us guess! lol

Have a nice one...

Find a commonality, what will and won't restart it.
Disable the automatically-restart-on-error setting, Google
will find details.

take power supply readings with a multimeter.

YOu might try describing the system, makes/models of the
major parts?

What is 'something'? Is it only happening on video?

List your components, brands and model numbers and the troubleshooting
steps you've taken so far. Not, "I checked memory" but how you checked the
memory. Be specific about the circumstances when the computer restarts.

I had a computer where it would reboot when I played it hard. Turned out the
power button on the front panel was making a bad contact and would reboot the
machine when it was warm and the computer was lightly touched. Replaced the
momentary switch, worked fine ever since.
Still, it could be your power supply.

As weird as this sounds... this worked for me. I was having the exact same
problem as you and ran through checking the graphic card, checking the
temperature, cleaning the computer, running test, etc. and then someone
suggested running chkdsk. I did and it worked! Hope it does it for you.

Thanks, Dave, I have a 550W Tagan and haven't had a problem.
