Computer restarting all the time...

A friend was playing with the "Narrator" accessiblity
option and the computer locked up. Upon rebooting it, it
would constantly restart itself upon reaching
the "Windows XP Professional" boot screen. I have GoBack
installed which would often bring up an error, "Disk
error or hardware error....", something to that effect.
When I tried to rollback to a previous system setting, it
would either fail or keep rebooting. When I select
the "Last Known Good Configuration" option in the Windows
boot options, it would do the same thing. I can't get to
Safe Mode or a command prompt either.

I was going to reinstall XP on my then C drive only to
find it's been changed to the E drive. Unfortunetly
Windows says it can't reinstall onto that disk.

So I installed XP onto my other disk allowing me access to
the GUI, but now I can't access my other drive. It's
listed in the Disk Manager, but I can't assign a letter to
it to explore the drive.

Please, please, please someone help me fix this. I have
no idea what the heck is happening...

Colin, unless you messed with the Partition or FileSystem you should be able
to access the hard drive. Make sure you have
Auto Detect selected in the Bios and check your cable to make sure it's
seated and installed properly.

The only thing I did was switch the order of my 2 drives.
I can still see the one drive, but I can't access it.
Haven't touched the partitions. The old drive is still set
as active and the new one as the system partition, but I
can't change any settings on either.
