I had to have my computer reformatted and now I'm unable to access my email
from home and my son can't access an online game. I reinstalled JAVA, but
whenever I try to go to my school email, I get "blipped". I can access it
through Mozilla but not Internet Explorer. I dumped my tmp files, deleted
cookies, checked dates/times synched (per Comcast tech) and now I don't even
know what to look for. I disabled Norton Firewall and Antivirus with same
results. School-district help desk can't help. Suggestions?

Thanks.

Windows version?

Care to tell us what "blipped" means? IOW what happens when you try to
access the webmail page using IE?

After reformatting & reinstalling Windows, did you take care of *everything*
on the following page before otherwise using your browser(s)?

Sorry...I can access the website but when I click on the email tab (or
anything else that requires a password) a sound beeps and nothing happens.
It greyed out the tabs after I clicked on them. I did try Mozilla and can
access everything from there but I prefer to use IE. I didn't reload...the
technician at Micro Center reloaded Windows XP and Norton SystemsWorks. I
downloaded the Java plug in and Norton Firewall. I talked to the tech today,
but he only suggested I contact the manufacturer.
